ClipDock Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

ClipDock is a Windows desktop tool for organizing screenshots and managing a visual clipboard.

2. What data we collect

• Images you capture/import: screenshots or images you paste/drag into the app.
• Workspace metadata: necessary info to display/manage items (e.g., filename, size, grouping, timestamps).
• OCR text (if enabled): text recognized from images for local search and copy.
• Local diagnostic logs (optional): runtime logs used for troubleshooting (not used for advertising profiling).

3. Where data is stored

By default, all data is stored on your local device.

4. Cloud upload

• No upload by default: ClipDock does not upload your screenshots or OCR text unless you explicitly initiate an action.
• OneDrive migration (when you choose it): if you select an OneDrive folder and confirm migration, the app copies your local workspaces to that folder.
• BYOK / WebDAV backup (when you choose it): if you configure WebDAV and click upload/restore, the app uploads/downloads your workspaces backup file to/from your WebDAV server.

5. Permissions & system capabilities

• Screen capture & window interaction: capture the screen and enable region selection.
• Clipboard access: read/write images and text (e.g., “Copy OCR text”).
• File system access: store workspaces locally, export images, migrate and backup data.

6. Credentials & sensitive information

If you use BYOK/WebDAV, credentials are stored locally and encrypted on your device (e.g., using Windows data protection). We do not proactively collect or upload your credentials.

7. How to delete your data

• You can delete images/workspaces within the app.
• You can also delete the local workspaces folder to remove all data (path is shown in app settings).
